Industrial Gaints

In 1923, nine of the wealthiest people in the world met at Chicago's Edge Water Beach Hotel.

Their combined wealth, it is estimated, exceeded the wealth of the Government of the United States at that time. These men certainly knew how to make a living and accumulate wealth. Attending the meeting were the following men:

1. The president of the largest steel company,

2. The president of the largest utility company,

3. The president of the largest gas company,

4. The president of the New York Stock Exchange,

5. The president of the Bank of International Settlements,

6. The greatest wheat speculator,

7. The greatest bear on Wall Street,

8. The head of the World's greatest monopoly &

9. A member of President Harding's cabinet.

That's a pretty impressive line-up of people by anyone's yardstick.

Yet, 25 years later, where were those nine industrial giants?

Let's examine what happened to them 25 years later.
1. The President of the then largest steel company (Bethlehem Steel Corp), Charles M Schwab, lived on borrowed capital for five years before he died bankrupt.

2. The President of the then largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane.

3. One of the greatest commodity traders (Wheat Speculator), Arthur Cutten, died insolvent.

4. The then President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail.

5. The member of the US President's Cabinet (the member of President Harding's cabinet), Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail just to be able to go home and die in peace.

6. The greatest "bear" on Wall Street, Jesse Livermore committed suicide.

7. The President of the then world's greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed suicide.

8. The President of the Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, committed Suicide.

9. The president of the largest utility company, Samuel Insull, died penniless.

What they forgot was how to "make" life while they got busy making money!

Money in itself is not evil; it provides food for the hungry, medicine for the sick, clothes for the needy. Money is only a medium of exchange.

We need two kinds of education:

a) One that teaches us how to make a living,

and

b) One that teaches us how to live.

There are many of us who are so engrossed in our professional life that we neglect our family, health and social responsibilities.

If asked why we do this, we would reply that "We are doing it for our family".

Yet, our kids are sleeping when we leave home. They are sleeping when we come back home!! Twenty years later, we'll turn back, and they'll all be gone, to pursue their own dreams and their own lives.

Without water, a ship cannot move. The ship needs water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will face existential problems. What was once a means of living for the ship will now become a means of destruction.

Similarly we live in a time where earning is a necessity but let not the earning enter our hearts, for what was once a means of living will surely become a means of destruction for us as well.

So take a moment and ask yourself, "Has the water entered my ship?"
I hope not!

Hope the above story will drive all of us in a better direction in life.

    ''Alone I can 'Say' but
    together we can 'talk'.

    'Alone I can 'Enjoy' but
     together we can
    'Celebrate'.

    'Alone I can 'Smile' but
    together we can 'Laugh'.

    That's the BEAUTY of
    Human Relations.

    We are nothing without
    each other

Stay Connected!! Be inspired!! Make someone smile today, and have a great day.

Luck

Why some people have all the Luck ?

By Professor Richard  Wiseman, University of Hertfordshire.

Why do some people get all the luck while others never get the breaks they deserve?
A psychologist says he has discovered the answer.

Ten years ago, I set out to examine luck. I wanted to know why some people are always in the right place at the right time, while others consistently experience ill fortune. I placed advertisements in national newspapers asking for people who felt consistently lucky or unlucky to contact me.

Hundreds of extraordinary men & women volunteered for my research & over the years, I have interviewed them, monitored their lives & had
them take part in experiments.

I carried out a simple experiment to discover whether this was due to differences in their ability to spot such opportunities. I gave both lucky and unlucky people a newspaper, and asked them to look through it & tell me how many photographs were inside. I had secretly placed a large message halfway through the newspaper saying : "Tell the experimenter you have seen this and win $50."

This message took up half of the page & was written in type that was more than two inches high. It was staring everyone straight in the face, but the unlucky people tended to miss it & the lucky people tended to spot it.

Unlucky people are generally more tense than lucky people, and this anxiety disrupts their ability to notice the unexpected.
As a result, they miss opportunities because they are too focused on looking for something else. They go to parties'; intent on finding their perfect partner & so miss opportunities to make good friends.
They look through newspapers determined to find certain types of job advertisements & miss other types of jobs.

Lucky people are more relaxed & open, and therefore see what is there rather than just what they are looking for. My research eventually revealed that lucky people generate good fortune via four principles. They are skilled at creating & noticing chance opportunities, make lucky decisions by listening to their intuition, create self-fulfilling prophesies via positive expectations, and adopt a resilient attitude that transforms bad luck into good.

Here are Professor Wiseman's four top tips for becoming lucky:
1) Listen to your gut instincts - they are normally right
2) Be open to new experiences and breaking Ur normal routine
3) Spend a few moments each day remembering things that went well
4) Visualize Urself being lucky before an important meeting or telephone call.
Have a Lucky day and work for it...

"The happiest people in the world are not those who have no problems, but those who learn to live with things that are less than perfect."

" There is a great difference  between "worry"  &  "concern",
A worried person only sees the problem & a concerned person solves the problem..!

May luck be your side!!!

Time and Timings

*Time & Timing*

The word '*time' *has different meanings in different contexts.

Basically 'time' means the clock where we get to know what time we are in; what time we should reach a place; and what time we should do things and so on.

There is also another meaning to 'time' which is referred to as good or bad time.

Likewise, the word 'time' is used in different contexts and we must derive its meaning as per the context.

In contrast, timing is all about what time we execute activities. In fact, this timing leads to either success or failure in one's life.

If the timing is good, people can achieve success and if the timing is bad, they will encounter failure.

*Timing is all about alignment of external forces with your internal forces. *

When what you achieved and what you intended to achieve is same, it is known as timing.

It occurs when your external forces and factors align with your internal forces and factors.

In a nutshell, it is a confluence of both your internal and external forces.

Also, some people call it luck

10 minutes!!!

*Turn your life in just 10 minutes :*

My dad once told me : "You can apply the 10 minutes mantra to turn around your life in a tremendous way."

I didn't understand at first. "What's the big deal in 10 minutes?" I asked.

"There's indeed a big deal about it. 10 minutes, believe me son, can create a marvellous difference in our life," my dad offered wisely.

"Elaborate please, dad,"

"I'll tell you. But first, you've to get up tomorrow at 6.00 am." My dad conditioned. I agreed.

Next day, as I woke up at the agreed time, my dad came to my room.

"What's the time?"

"6.00 am" I replied.

"Okay, so before you can follow the 10 minutes mantra, you have to _follow the art of being aware about the clock_,"

I was confused. My dad continued, "Look at the clock. It's 6.00 am. Now within 10 minutes I ask you to do the following - Arrange your bed and your table; drink two glasses of water, wash your face and brush your teeth. But keep looking at your clock while doing these. That's it"

"Well…Okay," I said, thinking what could be the catch my dad wanted me to capture.

I began and started doing all he asked. All the time, I kept glancing at the wall clock. Finally after 10 minutes (or 30 seconds earlier to be exact) I had finished it all.

"Well done, boy. You have turned around your life!" My dad praised, patting on my back.

"What?" I was astonished and puzzled, unable to grasp, and asked earnestly "I didn't get you, dad."

"Think, son, think!" My dad urged, "Recall your earlier days. How did your day started off?"

I racked my brains and pondered over. Usually, I wake up at 6.00 am. Then, I wander off, yawning lazily and even sleep for some more minutes or sit idly on my chair, my thoughts in thousand directions. And, by the time I finish the above activities, it was already past 7.00 am.

"And today, it's just 6.10 am" my dad said as if he read my mind.

"Yes!" I exclaimed, starting to understand.

"So what made you do it?" my dad asked.

I thought. What made me do it? Because my dad told me to do? No, no. There was more to it. And then it hit me.

*" _The art of being aware about the clock_!"* I almost shouted.

"Yes and also ten minutes." My dad said, smiling at my wonderstruck face.

My dad explained: "By _setting your eyes on the clock_ and _thinking about 10 minutes_, your mind got *_focused_* in that span of 10 minutes. It was just like a deadline or a due date. *The "10 minutes" deadline kept your mind in the present; in the "NOW " and prevented you from wandering off."*

I was impressed. Just a matter of meagre 10 minutes had such a mighty effect! I had completed all those routine activities on time.  Now, I felt I have so much time ahead (as compared to 7.00am, it was just 6.10 am!). _With so much time saved, I could work on creative and productive activities, instead of loitering around aimlessly_. *Time is indeed, the most precious thing on earth.*

A question piqued my curiosity, "Dad, why only 10 minutes. Why can't we divide our activities into 1 hour slots?"

"Good question," my dad said, "we can. But _Shorter the time, *more productive* you will get_. Imagine, if I told you to do those routine activities in 1 hour? Your mind will make your actions slower because you'll think you have enough time to do it. Even if an activity takes 1 hour, you can segment it into 10 minutes slots."

"Give an example," I was eager to know more.

"You can, for instance, segment your workout time," my dad resumed. "10 minutes- warm-up; 10 minutes- stretching and 10 minutes-yoga,"

"Really amazing, dad; this 10 minutes stuff can make your life on a roll! Instead of long bouts of inactivity, once can benefit from the short bursts of creativity!"

"Yes. The 10 minutes stuff is just an idea. You can also make it 15 minutes or 20 minutes but not longer than that." My dad paused and continued :

"The 10 minutes mantra can be applied in every aspect of life. A student, a professional, a businessman or anyone can apply this simple but successful technique. Take an example of student. The student can allot 10 minutes time for a topic. After that, he/she can take 2 minutes rest and resume for another ten minutes. He or she can also take time off and read a good book for 10 minutes or allot just 10 minutes for walking. All a student has to do is to be aware of the clock.

Elaborating it further, _we humans have a tendency to keep on delaying small things_. We know we have to pay bills on time, and still we delay it beyond the due dates. We are aware that our bike's tyres need to get pumped, yet we don't care to stop by the car-shop we pass every day. We promise ourselves to go to a temple on a particular day, yet we never seem to keep our own promise on time. Why? Because our mind wanders off and deems such things as unimportant. If we vow to take just 10 minutes or 20 minutes of our entire 24 hours, we would never procrastinate and our life will be million times better."

My dad concluded: " _The 10 minutes, if followed *consistently*, can have a tremendous effect in anyone's lifestyle. *Procrastination* and *Idleness* will vanish away replaced by *Focus* and *Intensity*_. People will tell you they are short of time. No time for the loved ones, no time for pursuing their dreams, no time to eat, no time for their health as if they are the most busiest people on earth! It's the lamest excuse one can give.

*_The 10 minutes mantra can keep us Organized, keep our otherwise disoriented thoughts in check, Balance our life fruitfully and help us to have enough time in our hands. So follow this 10 minutes mantra and see your life turn around at a miraculous pace_.....!"*

Garbha

During the nine days of Navaratri if there is one thing that stands out from Gujarat is the Garba. The word Garba comes from the Sanskrit word for womb - Garbha. and so implies gestation or pregnancy - life. Traditionally, the dance is performed around a clay lantern with a light inside, called a Garbha Deep. This lantern represents life; the fetus in the womb in particular. The dancers thus honor Durga, the feminine form of divinity.
Garba is performed in a circle as a symbol of the Hindu view of time. As the cycle of time revolves, from birth, to life, to death and again to rebirth, the only thing that is constant is the Goddess, that one unmoving symbol in the midst of all of this unending and infinite chaos and drama. The Garbha Deep has another symbolic interpretation. The vessel itself is a symbol of the body, within whom Divinity (in the form of the Goddess) resides. Garba is danced around this symbol to honor the fact that all humans have the Divine energy of Devi within them. In essence in its traditional form garba is a spiritual practice and worship to become one with the energy of the goddess.

Happy walking

⚛Why walk is necessary ? ⚛

Ever wondered what happens to your body when you start walking?

⛈Here's a minute-by   -minute rundown of the amazing chain reaction walking and exercise has upon your body, it's truly amazing!

💗Minutes 1 to 5

Your first few steps trigger the release of energy-producing chemicals in your cells to fuel your walk. Your heart rate revs-up from about 70 to 100 beats per minute (bpm), boosting blood-flow and warming muscles.

Any stiffness subsides as joints release lubricating fluid to help you move more easily. As you get moving, your body burns 5 calories per minute, compared with only 1 per minute at rest. Your body needs more fuel and starts pulling from its carbohydrates and fat stores.

💗Minutes 6 to 10

Heartbeat increases and you're burning up to 6 calories a minute as you pick up the pace. A slight rise in blood pressure is countered by the release of chemicals that expand blood vessels, bringing more blood and oxygen to working muscles.

💗Minutes 11 to 20

Your body temperature keeps rising, and you start to perspire as blood vessels near the skin expand to release heat. As your walk becomes brisker, you'll be burning up to 7 calories a minute and breathing harder. Hormones such as epinephrine and glucagon rise to release fuel to the muscles.

💗Minutes 21 to 45

Feeling invigorated, you start to relax as your body releases tension, thanks in part to a dose of feel-good chemicals such as endorphins in your brain. As more fat is burned, insulin (which helps store fat) drops--excellent news for anyone battling excess weight or diabetes.

💗Minutes 46 to 60

Your muscles may feel fatigued as carbohydrates stores are reduced. As you cool down, your heart rate decreases and your breathing slows. You'll be burning fewer calories but more than you were before you started. Your calorie burn will remain elevated for up to 1 hour.

🌾All this happens without a single conscious thought from us - the human body is amazing.
Stay blessed -Stayfit
Walk / Exercise

🌍Kindly forward to as many as possible.

Have a Happy Walking..😀🚶🏼

Attachment in detachment

Attachment in Detachment ----- Written by Sudha Murti
🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸
When my daughter, the older of my two, wed and left home, I felt a part of me gone.

With a daughter and a son, I know what both mean, differently.

When she was in her teens I felt as if she was my "physical extension" !

So when she left home to set up her own, I felt I lost a limb.

Next time she came to stay with us, I was astonished how her priorities had changed.

We too must've given the same shocks to our own parents !

When she said Amma,
she meant her mother-in-law, not me!

I felt she was always in a hurry to go back to her house and not stay with me for a few more days.

That was the first time, it dawned on me that I have to start practising detachment with attachment.

Two years after my daughter's marriage, my son left for higher studies to US.

Having experienced a child's separation once, I was better equipped emotionally.

I plunged head long into various classes held in the city starting from vedanta to healing to ikebana -
I just wanted to be away from home..since my husband was a 24/7 workaholic.

My son used to write how he was missing my home cooked food, how he was waiting to come back to live in Chennai with us ...

After a few years, he did come back and we got him married.

He started living separately with his wife and we were also happy that they wanted to be independant from the beginning...

But now, it was all changed !

When in the U S, he missed my cooking, now if I called him to come over with his wife for a meal, it was always some excuse like "oh, amma, we have other plans for the day, please don't mistake us if we don't drop in today" !

I could see that his priorities had also changed completely..

We talk so many things and give so much advice to others, but when it comes to our own children, acceptance comes very late. Our next step is to just leave them undisturbed
in every way.

It was at that time, that I made the following, my 'new profile'.

In all my relationships , rather interactions, I give my best and do my best to live up to what I say.

My attachment with them is complete.

However, I remain detached in the sense that I do not expect them to reciprocate my affection.

Most importantly, I make a conscious effort , not to interfere or pass judgements on the lives they choose to lead.

My concern for my near and dear ones will not fade with my detachment.

If you let go of the ones you love, they will never go away –
this is the beauty of attachment with detachment !

I have learnt to love and let go.

This dictum has developed tolerance in me.

When I let the people live the way they want to, I learn to accept them for what they are.

Most importantly ,
I learn to tolerate the world around me and this tolerance brings in me a sense of peace and contentment.

Since both my children live in Chennai, I follow this very strictly, you know why !

Now I have realised that we start growing mentally much more only after the children leave the house and we have to tackle the emotional vacuum, that arises, along with age-related problems .

I specially dedicate this post to my  friends, who are  totally  dependant  on their  children's lives, to nurture their  own  selves  emotionally.

Please develop your  own  intersts, hobbies  etc, however mundane they  seem to be..

We must learn
To love whatever  we  do
instead of
Doing whatever we love !!
🍀🍀🍀🍀

Power of love❤️

*When you are in love, you can break any limitations*

With the advancement of Neuroscience, we understand now that the human brain is plastic, which means its not hardwired, and it changes every time we read, see, think or feel something new. And this happens everyday in our life. So everyday you are in the most practical terms, becoming a new person.

One of the recent finding of science is that when we are in love, our brain creates a chemical, which in scientific language is called as Neuromodulators, Oxytocin.
This is also called as the bonding chemical or the one which is released when we are in love, or when a mother is giving birth to a baby.

The beauty of Oxytocin is that when it gets released, it melts away a lot of existing connection in the brain, giving us the ability to make large changes in our life easily.

Hence, a person in love can easily modify any of his behavior, or a mother leaves the old habits and develop news one's as soon as she gives birth to child. *Suddenly the habits which were so difficult to change, becomes so easy.*

This is how nature has created our brain. The key is now to understand that, Oxytocin gets released whenever we experience love, and that's the time we have the real opportunities and power of changing ourselves.

If you see, all the Great Authentic Spiritual Teachers have said, *"The world can only be changed through Love. Love is the answer".* Now we have some real science backing this up.

So you may consider using love, to make the biggest changes in your behaviours or the people around you, and you may be surprised how easily it can be done.

Miracles ✨✨

Gods Grace

*I love this, so am sharing with you:-*

💚➖➖➖➖➖➖
_Heavy rains remind us of challenges in life.  Never ask for a lighter rain, just pray to God for a better umbrella. - That is the attitude!_
💚➖➖➖➖➖➖
_Search for a good heart, but don't search for a beautiful face, coz beautiful things are not always good, but good things are always beautiful._
💚➖➖➖➖➖➖
_It's not important to hold all the good cards in life, but it's important how well you play with the cards you hold._
💚➖➖➖➖➖➖
_Often when we lose all hope & think this is the end, remember God and pray, it's just a bend, not the end.' -_
💚➖➖➖➖➖➖
_Have faith and have a successful life. One of the basic differences between God and humans is, God gives, gives and forgives. But the human gets, gets, gets and forgets. Be thankful in life..._
💚➖➖➖➖➖➖
_If u think it is your alarm clock that woke you up this morning, try putting it beside a dead body and you will realise that it is the Grace of God that woke you up._
💚➖➖➖➖➖➖
_If you are grateful to God, forward this to all your friends to inform them that it is *JUST BY THE GRACE OF God* that we are alive..._

Grew up in 70 -90s???

Felt like sharing it...Superb stuff for those who grew up during the 70-90s in middle class India , here are some things that you can identify with……

1. Though you may not publicly own to this, at the age of 12-17 years, you were very proud of your first "Bellbottom" or your first "Maxi" .

2. Phantom & Mandrake were your only true heroes. The brainy ones read "Competition Success Review".

3. Your "Camlin" geometry box & Natraj/Flora pencil were your prized possessions.

4. The only "Holidays" you took were to go to your grandparents' or your cousins' houses.

5. Ice-cream meant only - either an orange stick, a vanilla stick – or a Choco Bar if you were better off than most.

6. You gave your neighbour's phone number to others with a 'PP' written against it because you had booked yours only 7 years ago and were still waiting for your number to come.

7. Your parents were proud owners of HMT watches. You "earned" yours after SSC exams.

8. You have been to "Jumbo Circus"; have held your breath while the pretty young thing in the glittery skirt did acrobatics, quite enjoyed the elephants hitting football, the motorcyclist vrooming in the "Maut - ka - Gola" and it was politically okay to laugh your guts out at dwarfs hitting each others bottoms!

9.. You have at least once heard "Hawa Mahal" and "Binaca Geetmala" on the radio.

10. If you had a TV, it was normal to expect the neighbourhood to gather around to watch the Chitrahaar or the Sunday movie. If you didn't have a TV, you just went to a house that did. It mattered little if you knew the owners or not.

11. Sometimes the owners of these TVs got very creative and got a bi or even a tri-coloured anti-glare screen which they attached with two side clips onto their Weston TVs. That confused the hell out of you!

12. Black & White TVs weren't so bad after all because cricket was played in whites.

13. You thought your Dad rocked because you got your own (the family's; not your own own!) colour TV when the Asian Games started. Everyone else got the same idea as well and ever since, no one came over to your house and you didn't go to anyone else's to watch TV.

14. You dreaded the death of any political leader because of the mourning they would announce on the TV. After all how much " Shashtriya Sangeet " can a kid take?

15. You knew that " Indira Gandhi " was somebody really powerful and terribly important. And that's all you needed to know.

16. The only "Gadgets" in the house were the TV, the Fridge and possibly a mixer.

17. Movies meant Rajesh Khanna or Amitabh Bachchan. Before the start of the movie you always had to watch the obligatory "Newsreel".

18. You thought you were so rocking because you knew almost all the songs of Abba and Boney M.

19. Your hormones went crazy when you heard " Aap Jaisa Koi Meri Jindagi Mein Aaye " by Nazia Hassan .

20. Photograph taking was a big thing. You were lucky if your family owned a camera. A reel of 36 exposures was valuable hence it justified the half hour preparation & "setting" & the "posing" for each picture. Therefore, you. have at least one family picture where everyone is holding their breath and standing in attention!

Cheers to gud old friends & times.💐

Parenting tips

Dear parents give your finger to support your child not your entire hand to hold for life time else they never be able to survive without you.

If you want to make your child independent and  confident in future follow steps from now only.

1 . Don't feed your child let him eat by himself. Iet them starve to develop sense of hunger.

2. Let them wear their clothes on their own, you can help a little. Let them pack garden bag.

3 .Let them decide which colour things they want. This helps them to develop decision making power in them.

Power of positive talk

The Power of Positive Talk

I remember my dad teaching me the power of language at a very young age.
Not only did my dad understand that specific words affect our mental pictures, but he understood words are a powerful programming factor in lifelong success.

One particularly interesting event occurred when I was eight. As a kid, I was always climbing trees, poles, and literally hanging around upside down from the rafters of our lake house. So, it came to no surprise for my dad to find me at the top of a 30-foot tree swinging back and forth. My little eight-year-old brain didn't realize the tree could break or I could get hurt. I just thought it was fun to be up so high.

My older cousin, Tammy, was also in the same tree. She was hanging on the first big limb, about ten feet below me. Tammy's mother also noticed us at the exact time my dad did. About that time a huge gust of wind came over the tree. I could hear the leaves start to rattle and the tree begin to sway. I remember my dad's voice over the wind yell, "Bart, Hold on tightly." So I did. The next thing I know, I heard Tammy screaming at the top of her lungs, laying flat on the ground. She had fallen out of the tree.

I scampered down the tree to safety. My dad later told me why she fell and I did not. Apparently, when Tammy's mother felt the gust of wind, she yelled out, "Tammy, don't fall!" And Tammy did fall. My dad then explained to me that the mind has a very difficult time processing a negative image.

In fact, people who rely on internal pictures cannot see a negative at all. In order for Tammy to process the command of not falling, her nine-year-old brain had to first imagine falling, then try to tell the brain not to do what it just imagined. Whereas, my eight-year-old brain instantly had an internal image of me hanging on tightly.

This concept is especially useful when you are attempting to break a habit or set a goal. You can't visualize not doing something. The only way to properly visualize not doing something is to actually find a word for what you want to do and visualize that.

For example, when I was thirteen years old, I played for my junior high school football team. I tried so hard to be good, but I just couldn't get it together at that age. I remember hearing the words run through my head as I was running out for a pass, "Don't drop it!" Naturally, I dropped the ball. My coaches were not skilled enough to teach us proper "self-talk."
They just thought some kids could catch and others couldn't. I'll never make it pro, but I'm now a pretty good Sunday afternoon football player, because all my internal dialogue is positive and encourages me to win.

I wish my dad had coached me playing football instead of just climbing trees. If our parents can set a lifetime of programming with one wrong statement, imagine the kind of programming you are doing on a daily basis with your own internal dialogue.

Here is a list of Toxic Vocabulary words. Notice when you or other people use them.

 But: Negates any words that are stated before it.
 Try: Presupposes failure.
 If: Presupposes that you may not.
 Might: It does nothing definite. It leaves options for your listener..
 Would Have: Past tense that draws attention to things that didn't actually happen.
 Should Have: Past tense that draws attention to things that didn't actually happen implies guilt
 Could Have: Past tense that draws attention to things that didn't actually happen but the person tries to take credit as if it did happen.
 Can't/Don't: These words force the listener to focus on exactly the opposite of what you want. This is a classic mistake that parents and coaches make without knowing the damage of this linguistic error.

Example-1:
Toxic phrase: "Don't drop the ball!"
Likely result: Drops the ball
Better language: "Catch the ball!"* *

Example-2:
Toxic phrase: "You shouldn't watch so much television."
Likely result: Watches more television.
Better language: "I read too much television makes people stupid.

Attitude of gratitude

*Everything happens for a reason - GOD'S TIMING*

After 11th September attack , in World Trade Centre N.Y  one company invited the remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space.
At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive…... and all the stories were just the 'L I T T L E' things.

As you might know, the head of the company survived that day because his *son started kindergarten*.

Another fellow was alive because it was *his turn to bring donuts*.

One woman was late because her *alarm clock didn't go off in time*.

One of them *missed his bus*.

One *spilled food* on her clothes and *had to take time to change*.

One's *car wouldn't start*.

One *went back to answer the telephone*.

One had a *child* that dawdled and *didn't get ready* as soon as he should have.

One *couldn't get a taxi*.

*The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot*.
He *stopped* at a drugstore *to buy a Band-Aid*.

That is why he is ALIVE today.

*Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone...*
*All the little things that annoy me.*
*I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment...*

Next time
Ur morning seems to be going wrong,
The children are slow getting dressed,
U can't seem to find the car keys,
U hit every traffic light...

*Don't get mad or frustrated. God is at work watching over u.*

*_May God continue to bless u with all those annoying little things & may u remember their possible purpose._*

Rhonda Byrne says:  *"Look for the gifts in everything, especially when you are facing what appears to be a negative situation.*

Everything that we attract causes us to grow, which means that ultimately everything is for our own good."

*Live Life Always Being Thankful*...

*With An Attitude of  Gratitude*

Mirror

One day all the employees reached the office and saw a big advice written on the door.

"Yesterday the person who has been stopping your growth in this company passed away. You are invited to join the funeral."

In the beginning, they got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they got curious to know who was the man who stopped their growth.

Everyone thought :  'Well at least the man who stopped my progress died!'

One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside they were speechless. They stood shocked in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul. There was a mirror inside the coffin and everyone who looked inside could see him/herself.

There was a sign next to the mirror that read:
"There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth...It is you. You are the only person who can influence your happiness, success and realization."

Your life does not change when your boss, friend or company changes.....your life changes when you change...you go beyond your limiting beliefs and you realize you are the only one responsible for your life.
It's the way you face life that makes the difference!

If an egg is broken from outside force....life ends but if it is broken from inside force life begins. Great things always begin from our inside.

Happy Morning.Keep Smiling. :-) :-) :-)

Time kills it all!!!

Happy Janmastami !!!

*Krishna* was born in the darkness of the night, into the locked confines of a jail.

However, at the moment of his birth, all the guards fell asleep, the chains were broken and the barred doors gently opened.

Similarly, as soon as *Krishna* ( Chetna, Awareness ) takes birth in our hearts, all darkness ( Negativity ) fades.

All chains ( Ego, I, Me, Myself ) are broken.

And all prison doors we keep ourselves in ( Caste, Religion, Profession, Relations etc )  are opened.

And that is the real Message And Essence of Janmashtmi.

Happy *Janmashtmi* to you and your family.🙏🏻😊

Biggest!!!!

In the jungle which animal is the biggest ........
I heard you say, Elephant.

In the jungle which animal is the tallest ........
I heard you say, Giraffe.

In the jungle which animal is the wisest ........
I heard you say, Fox.

In the jungle which animal is the fastest ........
I heard you say, Cheetahs.

Among all these wonderful qualities mentioned, where is the Lion in the picture.Yet, you say the Lion is the king of the jungle even without any of these qualities. But, I discovered something fascinating about the Lion.

The Lion is courageous, the Lion is very bold, the Lion is always ready to face any mountain, any challenges, any barrier that crosses his part, no matter how big they are. The Lion walks with confidence. The Lion dares anything and it's never afraid. The Lion believes he is unstoppable. The Lion is a risk taker. The Lion believes any animal is food for him. The Lion believes any opportunity is worth giving a trial and never allows it slip from his hands. The Lion has charisma.

- What is it that we get to learn from here ...

• You don't need to be the fastest.
• You don't need to be the wisest.
• You don't need to be the smartest.
• You don't need to be the most brilliant.
• You don't need to be generally accepted to become your dreams and be great in life.

• All you need is courage.
• All you need is boldness.
• All you need is the will to try.
• All you need is the faith to believe it is possible.
• All you need is to believe in yourself that you can do it.

Purpose of life

"The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
The meaning of life is to give your gift away."

What is your gift? How are you going to give?

Too often, I meet people wanting to 'find themselves' and the focus is what they can gain, what they can experience, what they can earn, what they can learn.

I truly believe... that you will have a life worth living... and you WILL find yourself through focusing on what you want to give... who you want to help... and what problems you want to solve.

Ask yourself..
"Where can I take people to?" instead of "Where can I travel?"
"What can I give?" instead of "What can I get?"
"How can I serve?" instead of "What can I learn?"
"What problems can I solve?" instead of "Why do I have so many problems?"
"How can I work with full passion?" instead of "I am only passionate in X"

It's not that you can't travel or have fun or earn something on the way. It's that people who have found and achieved a bigger purpose... never made it about those things in the first place!

Learn leadership from an eagle

*SEVEN LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES TO LEARN FROM AN EAGLE....*

1. *Eagles fly Alone and at High Altitudes.*
They don't fly with sparrows, ravens, and other small birds.

MEANING; Stay away from narrow-minded people, those that bring you down. Eagle flies with Eagles. Keep good company.

2. *Eagles have an Accurate Vision.* They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km away. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.

MEANING; Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacles and you will succeed.

3. *Eagles do not Eat Dead things. They Feed only on Fresh Prey.*

MEANING; Do not rely on your past success, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past.

4. *Eagles Love the Storm.*
When clouds gather, the eagle gets excited, the eagle uses the storms wind to lift itself higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the branches and leaves of the tree.

MEANING; Face your challenges head on knowing that these will make you emerge stronger and better than you were. We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid of challenges, rather they relish them and use them profitably.

5. *When a Female Eagle Meets a Male Eagle* and they want to mate, she flies down to earth, picks a twig and flies back into the air with the male eagle in hot pursuit. Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she drops the twig and let it fall to the ground while she watches. The male eagle chases after the twig and catches it before it reached the ground, then bring it back to the female eagle. The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a much higher altitude and drop the twig again for the male eagle to chase. This goes on for hours with the height increasing each time until the female eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art of picking the twig which shows commitment. Then and only then will she allow him to mate with her.

MEANING; Whether in private life or business, one should test the commitment of the people intended for partnership.

6. *Eagles Prepare for Training;*
They remove the feathers and soft grass in the nest so that the young ones get uncomfortable in preparation for flying and eventually flies when it becomes unbearable to stay in the nest.

MEANING; *Leave your Comfort Zone, there is No Growth There.*

7. *When the Eagle Grows Old,*
His feathers becomes weak and cannot take him as fast and as high as it should. This makes him weak and could make him die. So he retires to a place far away in the mountains. While there, he plucks out the weak feathers on his body and breaks its beaks and claws against the rocks until he is completely bare; a very bloody and painful process. Then he stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, new beaks and claws and then he comes out flying higher than before.

MEANING; We occasionally need to shed off old habit no matter how difficult, things that burden us or add no value to our lives should be let go of.

*YES, NEVER GIVE UP,*
*BE AN EAGLE, NEVER EVER GIVE UP !!!*

Forever happy couple

Sunday Romance -

8 tips of "forever happy" couples !!

1. Never underestimate the value of asking your partner how his day went. Niceties don't become any less nice just because they become routine. At the end of the day, even if you felt like no one cared about anything you did, at least you know your partner will not only care but want to know details.

2. Some fights are just fights. They don't have to be deal breakers. You can be madly in love with a person and still be mad at that person. Fights don't have to spell The End. Couples that stay together choose the relationship over the conflict.

3.Accept that relationships come with obligations. You might not want to do everything your partner wants you to do with him — work events, seeing a band he likes, even errands — but you also know it makes him happy to have you by his side, which makes doing those things totally worth it.

4. But be honest about which events you feel strongly that your partner attend. Not everything can be a must. He knows to tell you that it's really important you attend Passover seder every year but will live if you decline an invite to his friend's Super Bowl party. You're both fair about it.

5. Little surprise purchases go a long way. Does your partner love mint chocolate chip ice cream? Picking some up while you're at the store shows you were thinking of him even while going about your boring everyday chores like restocking the milk.

6. Don't force group or double dates when all couples aren't friends. You don't have to share the same friends. It's OK to still go out one-on-one with your girlfriends, even if you all have significant others. The guys don't have to be friends just because you are, and not every conversation is a group conversation anyway.

7. Kiss hello before doing anything else when you get home. Kiss good-bye when you leave. It's always just the sweetest if he has to go to work extra-early but stops by to kiss you quickly while trying not to wake you. Or when he walks you to the door when you head out. And an immediate kiss when you reunite at the end of the day means you care about each other above all else.

8. Sometimes you have to say no to invitations so you can spend time with each other. Just because your calendar is blank one night doesn't mean you have to agree to plans if someone asks. Life gets weirdly busy as you get older. It's nice to use that free time to just be together.

Luck is awareness and alertness of opportunity around you

*Why some people have all the Luck ?*- By Professor Richard  Wiseman, University of Hertfordshire.

"Why do some people are lucky all the time while others never get the breaks they think they deserve?

They are skilled at creating & noticing chance opportunities, make lucky decisions by listening to their intuition, create self-fulfilling prophesies via positive expectations, and adopt a resilient attitude that transforms bad luck into good".

Here are Professor Wiseman's four tips to become "lucky:":
1) Listen to your gut instincts - they are normally right
2) Be open to new experiences and breaking your normal routine
3) Spend a few moments each day remembering things that went well
4) Visualize Urself being lucky before an important meeting or telephone call.

"The happiest people in the world are not those who have no problems, but those who learn to deal with things that are less than perfect."

" There is a great difference  between "worry"  &  "concern",
A worried person only sees the problem & a concerned person solves the problem..!

May luck be on your side!!!👍

We all need a kick on our butt!!!

: INSPIRED PUSH - A Must Read !!!

A man had one very beautiful daughter. When the daughter was ready for marriage, the father sent news around town that all the eligible young men should come to compete in a test which would determine who was fit to marry his daughter.

On that day, all was set, all the able-bodied young men came out.

The rich man took them to his swimming pool and addressed the men: "Any of you who can swim from one end of this swimming pool to the other would marry my daughter.

In addition, I'll give him 15million dollars, a car and a house so they can start life well. I shall be waiting to meet my son-in-law at the other end. Good luck!"

As the young men, all very excited at the prospect of winning, started taking off their shirts, a helicopter came over the pool and dropped
alligators🐊🐊 and crocodiles🐊🐊 into the pool. Immediately, all the men turned back and started wearing their shirts again.

Disappointed, some of them said, ''That's crazy,.lets see who would marry that girl, No one will'.
🐊
All of a sudden, they heard a splash in the pool. Everybody watched in amazement as one gentleman waddled across, expertly avoiding the alligators🐊🐊 and crocodiles🐊🐊.
🐊

Finally, he made it to the other side. The rich man could not believe it. He asked the young man to name anything he wanted but the man was still panting uncontrollably.
🐊
Finally, he got back to his senses and made a request saying, 'FIRST 'SHOW ME THE PERSON WHO PUSHED ME INSIDE THIS POOL!''
🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊

Moral 1:
You don't know what you are capable of doing until you are PUSHED!!.

Moral 2:
Those seeking to push you into the jaws of alligators🐊 and crocodiles🐊 may have helped you to reach your promised land!!!
🐊
Sometimes it takes going through the bad moments to bring out the BEST in us.
🐊
Trials are raw materials for Triumphant Testimonies...

The push might take different dimensions: some people needed to be pushed/layed off before realizing their potentials and reaching their goals in life.

Never give up!!!!
